Click here for news archive. I'm Not There, Lee and Steve Are Definitely There August 13, 2007 The tracklist for "I'm Not There", the Todd Haynes directed Bob Dylan biopic, has been revealed. The 34 tracks soundtrack, that will be out on a double-disc endeavor on October 30th, will feature lots of sonic related goodies. The main attraction is Sonic Youth�s version of the unreleased Dylan classic �I�m Not There� from the basement tapes session which is played during the closing credits of the film. Other highlight include a Ranaldo/Malkmus collaboration and five other tracks produced by Lee, sung by different vocalist, and played by The Million Dollar Bashers - a super group which includes both Lee and Steve. Gordon and drummer Richard Edson, were formed in New York City in 1981. A product
of the No-Wave music scene of the late 1970s, the group had their roots in abrasive,
experimental music, with Moore and Ranaldo having previously worked with the
experimental composer Glenn Branca. The band were joined in 1985 by drummer Steve
Shelley, and have now recorded 14 albums together, as well as many side and solo
projects. Their work has been consistently challenging and innovative, and they
are widely regarded as one of the most intriguing and influential bands of their
time.
